    -          The urbanization of Carrer Antoni Forrellad begins for the City Council of Sabadell

    -          Contributes to sustainable urban mobility

Framed in the objective of pacifying and naturalizing the Gran Via Avenue of Sabadell and linking it with the surroundings of the Ripoll river, ROA arquitectura begins the urbanization of Antoni Forrellad street between Plaza España and Prats de Lluçanès road.

The current road is transformed into three distinct areas. The area closest to the road will be used for rapid transit. It consists of a lane for the circulation of bicycles and personal mobility vehicles, promoting a more sustainable and healthy urban transport.

The central area will be dedicated to pedestrian traffic and rest. It consists of a paved area and five rest areas that have draining pavement, benches and shrub vegetation.

Finally, the area closest to the facades of the buildings, of rapid pedestrian traffic, in which no intervention is made, the pre-existing pavement is preserved.

The pavement pieces used are made with a high percentage of recycled aggregate from runes, reducing the environmental impact of the intervention.

The three zones are delimited by new rows of trees. Between the rapid transit area and the slow transit area, double-height lighting is also included. The height of 4 meters will illuminate the facades and the 5 meters will focus the central rest area.

The intervention is scheduled to be completed in mid-June, with the beginning of summer.
