CONTRIBUTION TO THE LANDSCAPE OF THE CYCLING VOLTA A CATALUNYA
- The cyclists accessed through the northern part of the city, the Prats de Lluçanes Road
- Three of the works of ROA arquitectura were part of the route of the Volta in its passage through the city of Sabadell
On March 23, 2023, the Volta Ciclista a Catalunya in its 101st edition finished its fourth stage in the city of Sabadell.
The cyclists entered Sabadell through the Carretera de Prats de Lluçanes, an axis that runs through three of the main works of ROA architecture in this city.
The first intervention they crossed was the transformer substation located at 22 Valldaura Street. This urban planning and architecture project has a triple objective: to reactivate the heritage of the city, to link the neighborhoods of Can’ Oriac and Can Puiggener and to favor an open public space that connects the Parc de la Clota with the Plaza España.
The second was the Carrer Antoni Forrellad urbanization project that contributes to the naturalization of Gran Via and sustainable urban mobility (http://roaarquitectura.com/en/roa-arquitectura-contributes-naturalize-gran-via-avenue/).
Finally, the cyclists left on their right the real estate development of Illa Creu Alta, a real estate development located on Francesc Layret street, in the Creu Alta neighborhood.
