PUBLICATION OF ILLA CREU ALTA IN THE ARCHELLO JOURNAL
Our project Illa Creu Alta has been published on the Archello website, one of the most influential platforms in the world of architecture. This recognition is a testament to our commitment to sustainability, flexibility, circularity and transparency in each of our designs.
At Illa Creu Alta, we have integrated innovative and sustainable solutions to create a space that not only meets today’s needs, but is also future-proof.
A recycling plant was built on the site that helped separate the materials that came from the demolition. In this way, gravels classified according to their size were obtained to be used again in construction. In total, 1860 m3 of debris were recycled, saving 14.92 tonnes of CO2 (about 13 pools of 10x25x2) and 211,945MJ of embedded energy. The materials that were recycled on the same site saved the movement of 305 trucks and thus improved the environmental quality in the work environments (< 1200ppm) and led to economic savings of 30%.
