About the project

Historical and constructive study of the Xalet del Catllaràs

The assignment focuses on the preparation of a historical and constructive study of the building, as well as its restoration to obtain the plans of the original state.

The Xalet del Catllaràs was designed by the renowned Catalan architect Antoni Gaudí i Cornet. Eusebi Güell and Bacigalupi commissioned it to house the engineers of the mines of the Serra del Catllaràs, from where the ore used to feed the kilns of the Asland del Clot del Moro cement factory was extracted, the fourth cement factory built in Spain in 1901.
