A structural system of wood on stilts anchors the house respecting the existing vegetation. Thus, the environment is fully conserved, avoiding significant earth movements that would modify the landscape.
The project is located on a mountainous slope in Sant Fost de Campsentelles with views of the Pyrenees.
The dwelling rests on the ground with minimal impact. A structural system of wood on stilts anchors the house respecting the existing vegetation. Thus, the environment is fully conserved, avoiding significant earth movements that would modify the landscape.
Wood and stone are chosen as materials. Stone helps to integrate the project into the landscape while wood brings warmth and beauty to spaces, as well as offering numerous benefits. It is a renewable resource that contributes to sustainability by reducing the carbon footprint. Wood is an excellent insulator, which translates into lower energy consumption, especially in mountain areas and allows for more agile assembly, thus contributing to rapid construction.
On a functional level, the house offers a path that helps to connect with the environment. Next to the main access to the north are the services and the vertical communication core with the stairs. This distribution makes it possible to open a large window on the ground floor that connects the open space of the living-dining room-kitchen with the outside, allowing you to enjoy the mountain views. On the first floor, all the rooms are located to the south, so the use of natural light is optimized.
