Reindustrialisation of the 20th century industrial park in Sabadell (Barcelona)

The 20th-century industrial park in Sabadell is a conglomerate of abandoned, unused spaces that shape the great gaps in economic activity in the contemporary city.

ROA conceives the reindustrialisation of ICT services under the concept of “Box in a box” through the recycling of micro-containers of goods from the port of Barcelona, which are introduced into abandoned industrial warehouses for various uses. In this way, it is possible to improve the value chain of the industry of the 21st century, while linking the economic and geographical landscape of the territory, moving “from the port landscape to the urban tapestry”.
