Flexibility

ROA conceives flexible architecture that allows spaces to be adapted to the changing needs of their users. Unlike rigid and static structures, flexible architecture is shaped according to the preferences and lifestyle of those who inhabit it.

Flexible architecture can take various forms, allowing changes to be made to the design of a property according to the tastes and needs of the occupants. Spaces can be transformed to accommodate new functions or activities.

The SEED project, where the industrial heritage of Sabadell is reactivated, is a clear example of flexibility in architecture.

THE SEED PROPOSAL PRESENTS FLEXIBILITY AS A MAIN OBJECTIVE.

Reactivates social exchange through industrial heritage with NZEB qualification and very low environmental impact.

The unprotected volume of the industrial complex is demolished to create a public plaza that connects the access galleries with the new facilities axis of the superisland.

The passively air-conditioned galleries illuminate the reception, administration and initial phases of start-ups with a solar control system.
